Sony Mavicas
banner image banner image Floppy disks!!! OMG!! I love these cameras dearly. My first one (the darker grey one) was a gift from my friends who aslo introduced me to these cameras, and whose mavica collection is far larger than mine. They store photos on floppy disk, depending on the disk/camera/if the camera feels like it that particular day they store around 29 0.3 megapixel photos. The picturres have a really charming grain, they are really pretty in a way that only a truly shitty camera can be. The low storage is quite fun too, I don't have a photo of any disks being ejected but there is something really tactile and silly about going to a gig or something with a bag full of loose floppy disks that you need to periodically load and unload. They can be very unreliable, at least a few of every disks photos inevetibly corrupt. The disk drive on my first camera started acting a little weird so I soon bought a second, whiich has been an incredibly solid camera and I love them both to death. Something about a big brick camera is really great too. The optical zoom on these (10X!!) is also really awesome. Any camera with an email format option is 100% worth your time.

Sony MiniDVD Handycam
banner image banner image DVD! Maybe I just love a camera with physical storage. This is up there with the mavicas really. Takes really nice photos and it is my go to for filming gigs. Like the mavica the storage is limited, depending on the settings it'll film 25-30 minutes of footage because thats how much a mini dvd can fit I guess. It can do a couple thousand photos which is pretty great and for gigs it's fine to just bring one dvd per set I'm filming. Also similar to the mavica is has a great optical zoom, and generrally just a cool camera I like it. There are cons but I don't care to discuss them. I am not reviewing. I just love pressing buttons and taking pictures.

Sony Cybershot (the first)
banner image This one is also a brick. Very heavy, has one of those thick lithium batteries but it does use an actual memory stick. It can't take a video loger than 30 seconds and the photos somehow look worse than the mavicas. Lots of fun.

Sony Cybershot (the second)
banner image Questionable. I used to be super in love with this camera. It has a loose battery port that I've had to tape shut so that it stays on. It was trusted and valued until the day it ruined a days worth of footage for a friends music video we were shooting. It has since decided to behave but I just can't trust it any more. To be loved is to be changed.

Kodak EasyShare
banner image Easy share. This one is cool and I need to get it working. I really have been meaning to. I just need an SD card that is less than 4MB. Then maybe one day I will find out how the share button works.
